India-Bangladesh border visit

I visited the border zero point between India and Bangladesh border.....everything was the same...the pple this side and that side...the same sky..a small and dirty drain flowwing from india to bangladesh....the language (since bangla is the main spoken language even in Tripura)....the difference were the Trucks...the brand were same Manuf. by TATA...but the front guard was there in all trucks from bangladesh and the nameplates were in Bangla unlike here in India..where we've the number written in english...the BSF (Border security force) in our side and the Bangladesh security forces that side...we were questioned by one BSF personal...interacted with him asking which side is which....he admitted even he had felt the same 'which side is which' when he first came.

The main import from Bangladesh for Tripura is stone chips...to my surprise there are no stones in tripura but pple use brick chips instead (The brick industry is a big industry here)...stones from Meghalaya(India) is sent to bangladesh...its made into small chips at Bangladesh (due to chweaper labour cost ) and sent to Tripura...all the trucks I saw had only one thing...stone chips...unloaded from the trucks form bangladesh and loaded in trucks from Tripura. Next month I plan to visit Dhaka....my passport will look lil weird to others....the fist visa stamped in of Pakistan and then Bangladesh...hahaha

Fav. food and the places-At Imphal

Imphal:

1.One of most and all time fav. is "manitombi's " Sinju (a type of Manipuri veggies.salad mixed with till, roasted besan, salt and sometimes with Nagari) and aloo saag (boiled potato's cooked with very little masala's)....whenever I go home I make sure I have sinju and aloo saag everyday from Manitombi's stall.

2. The second in list is Sinjamei suppermarket ke "Pakora thongba"...the first time I had pakora thongba was when my elder sister got it....da amit gave it to her I think.

3.Now who doesn't like Nikhil's (Awang BOC) yummy...steamed Momo...I prefer the chicken one.
4.Nagamapal's Kaylee chana- The real nagamapal kaylee chana is the best of all the other chana vendors who've come. They have added a lot many things ... like paknam, nung hawai aphutpat and singju also I think...the good combination with daru.

Neermahal at Rudrasagar lake

Mumma enjoying the boat ride...

I visited NeerMahal...a summer palace build some 70 yrs back...it was awesome...mumma ke saath mujhe bhi tripura ghumne ka mauka mil raha hai...I have been to Melaghar side soooo many times but never got a chance to visit Neermahal...looking at the mahal I must say the Raja's during those days must have been living such luxurious lives...I mean a palace in almost middle of the lake....like those at Udaipur....the boat ride till the palace was the best I think....and my gawd...so many thangjings...now I knw the thangjings in Agartala market kahan se aata hai..
